hi Chicken, I hope you are well. I’d like to share more of my craft on my tumblr but i get the sense that my spirits don’t want me sharing photos of their physical bodies (trees, seeds, plants, bodies of water, animals, spirit houses, knives etc) on the internet which is fair enough and their prerogative. But i also don’t feel comfortable sharing images of the physical bodies of spells i have worked, for similar reasons. Do you have any advice on what to post that gets around this but is still original content? thanks :)

I love that you call spell vessels ‘bodies,’ I do too!

I also don’t like sharing photos of what I do, and I rarely do. Here are things I think are dope for people to share, in varying levels of specificity, depending on what is appropriate to share:

  • Why they are doing a spell or ritual
  • Explanations of preparatory steps taken ahead of time
  • Personal blogging about life things that may have gotten in the way of doing workings, or had to be overcome
  • Personal feelings about what it feels like to perform a spell or ritual
  • An explanation of why a working is done this way, and at certain times
  • Notes about how you might do things differently than what you see others doing
  • Notes about the things you do the same as you see others doing them
  • Your thoughts on portions of workings which may be experimental, and an explanation for why you are choosing to experiment
  • Anecdotes of the last time the working was performed
  • Thoughts about how recent workings could be affecting this situation

I hope this helps!

I’m using Patreon to archive, sort, and link my Tumblr backlogs.

The weekly round-up on Patreon is out. This public post has all the new stuff you can find on there this week.

In this week’s migration we have:

  • 6 recent Tumblr posts
  • 7 backlog posts

This week, topics are mostly related to magical troubleshooting and spirit working techniques.

In addition to this week, I also never posted last week’s roundup. That prior content can be found here. That week had 6 backlog posts and no recent posts.

This brings us up to the following counts:

  • 149 total posts
  • 10 masterposts

Thank you to everyone in your ongoing support for me getting my content onto a platform I’m much happier with. Additional updates will be on their way this Autumn as this project evolves.
